St Michael's Mount from Marazion is one of many images of the Penzance area taken by Robert Preston and contained within an album. The houses along the harbour are no longer there. The larger building to the left was the island's laundry and iin 2012 is a cafe with accommodation on the first floor. The octaganol dairy can be seen behind the houses on the path. The Church at the top seems in a pretty poor state of repair. The wing on the left was built by Piers St Aubyn, a relative of the resident St Levan family. Some of the rooms are linked underground.
