Orangery Café
The Orangery Café has indoor and outdoor seating. It uses the best local produce for its cakes and light lunches. Children’s portions are available.
Penlee Park
The surrounding park has sub-tropical plants and mature trees. The tranquil Memorial Garden and Sensory Garden offer places for quiet enjoyment. For younger visitors the park also offers a children’s play area.
Children
Interactive ‘Fisherman’s Pockets’ are available to borrow during your visit with toys and games to keep younger visitors entertained. There’s a ‘Spot It’ quiz, and a colouring table in the local history gallery.
Wheelchair Users & Buggies
There is level, ramped or lift access to all areas and an adapted toilet with baby changing facilities. A wheelchair is also available to borrow for use in the gallery. For more information please visit our Accessibility Page.
Between Exhibitions
Between exhibitions, it is necessary to close some of the galleries, so please check what is open before making a special journey during those times. Click here for 2024 details. Entrance to Penlee House is half price during rehang periods.

Tours & Groups

Dogs
Dogs are welcome on leads within the park and on the terrace outside the cafe, but dogs are not permitted in the building. A water bowl is provided on the terrace.
Community Toilet Scheme
Penlee House is part of the Penzance Community Toilet Scheme which offers free facilities.
