Getting Around the Gallery

Three parking spaces at the rear of Penlee House are reserved for blue badge holders. Please enter via the Morrab Road entrance (Sat Nav: TR18 4EP). Additional accessible spaces are available in Wellfields Car Park, next to Penlee Park (Sat Nav: TR18 4HE).
Wheelchairs & Buggies
Penlee House has good wheelchair and buggy access and there is an accessible toilet and baby-change facility. Seating is provided in most galleries and a wheelchair is available to borrow during your visit. There are two narrower doorways which are 75 cm wide.
Sensory & Audio Support
Audio Descriptions
We have Audio Descriptions of favourites from our collection. You can collect a PENfriend device next to the welcome desk to use during your visit, or use your own smartphone.
Audio Guide
The Bloomberg Connects app can be downloaded from a QR code in the Gallery, or from our website: Bloomberg Connects – Penlee House. This provides audio relating to some of the paintings in each of our temporary exhibitions, as well as selected works from Penlee’s collections on display.
Ear defenders
We have ear defenders available to borrow for those who require them. Our fisherman’s pockets contain toys to help children engage with the gallery.
