The original Chapel was built at Dorglass Stile. By 1830 there was a revivial in Methodism which meant it was too small. A new Chapel was built elsewhere. In 1979 a severe storm so badly damaged the chapel that it was closed immediately and services were held in the parish church. This is a picture of the second chapel. In April 1981 a new foundation stone for a new Chapel was laid. The two large windows are a feature of the present chapel.

Two remarkably clean and well dressed boys with steel capped boots, one carrying a pair of shears, the other a rolled up fleece, look with distrust at the camera. A shearer is seated with a ram on a trestle in front of him. On the floor is a small pail of Stockolm Tar in case of cuts to the sheep. Piled on the clean cobbles of the farm yard is a stack of fleeces. The whole scene is composed with a sense of order and calm.
