Item: Interior of St Peters Church, Newlyn
Description: St Peter's Church in Newlyn was built in 1866 before which time Newlyn was part of Paul parish. The foundation stone was laid on St Peter’s Day 1864. The first service was held on Tuesday 6 February 1866. At that time the nave and south aisle were built with the north aisle to the right of the picture 1990.1344 being added in 1886. Since the 1990s the church has been opened up further with the removal of the old Victorian pews and the west end and the choir stalls from the chancel.
