Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

Medieval greenstone hone, with ground sides and grooved faces. One face has a cross-like indentation and the other side is dimpled with 40 small circular depressions. May have been used to sharpen hooks or needles, or used to push thick needles through leather or sails, circa AD 1200-AD1700.

silver Roman coin, Postumus 259-68. Found in donor's garden in Newmill. Has a portrait of Postumus on the obverse and a seated River god on the reverse. This is an early issue of this coin and is quite common, though not as common as the variety showing a reclining River god.
