Brief Description: James Jewill Hill (1867-1946) was a prominent Penzance public figure and partner in the solicitor's firm, Jewill Hill and Bennett. This work was one of five paintings exhibited by Forbes in his last showing at the Royal Academy in 1945. Forbes's fellow artist, Harold Harvey, painted portraits of Jewill Hill's children - Laura, Paul and James Junior.
