Brief Description: From Ghosties and Ghoulies and Long Legged beasties and things that go bump in the night, Good Lord deliver us. This is one in a series of 12 postcards published in 1923 demonstrating a wood cut design of the Cornish Litany. The origin of the litany could be English, Scottish or Cornish. It is a post reformation prayer, recorded orally, in which there is a question and a response. This card has a couple in a four poster bed, the lady with her hair on end whilst strange creatures emerge from the blanket box and come in the door. This card pictures a small man in a large arched doorway being overlooked by strange creatures.
