IDENFIFICATION
Brief Description: John Polglase on his trotting mare outside the Old Inn, Gulval. The pub lost its thatched roof in 1895 when it was totally rebuilt. It was renamed The Coldstreamer in memory of Captain Michael Lempriere Bolitho - elder son of Major Richard John Bruce and Roselle Bolitho of Ponsandane - who was in the Coldstream Guards and who was killed in action at Oran on Sunday 8 November 1942, during the Allied landings of North Africa.
