Sustainability- Sustainable Penzance

The Milk Cart By Frank Gascoigne Heath, (1920)

We work to bring together our community to protect the environment and create a more sustainable way of living, working and doing business. Join us to help create a thriving town which puts people, place and planet first!

Why we chose this piece.

Rachel Yates from Sustainable Penzance chose The Milk Cart by Harold Harvey as a focus for workshops with children from Gulval School. This painting was chosen to represent local agriculture and enable conversations about farming and shopping for food.

Penzance from Chyandour Beach By Le Huguet, (1900)

We work to bring together our community to protect the environment and create a more sustainable way of living, working and doing business. Join us to help create a thriving town which puts people, place and planet first!

Why we chose this piece.

This 100-year-old view of Penzance from Chyandour – along with another more recent view by Bob Vigg (not on display) – were chosen by Rachel Yates from Sustainable Penzance for workshops with children from Gulval School. These works encouraged conversations around travel, by land, sea and air.
