Item: Signal Row, St Martins, Scilly.
Description: A view of Signal Row, St Martins, Isles of Scilly with a sign for 'Raines Tea Rooms' in the foreground, with a figure in the background that could be Steve Walder. The tearooms were in the garden where the sign is; the house across the road was where the food and drink were prepared. The house at one point had been the Parsonage on the Island. After Mrs Raine's son died in WWII and her husband died under suspicious circumstances on a train journey, the Duchy and Church decided not to move Mrs Raine and she set up the tea room. A new Parsonage was built which by lease agreement can only be lived in by a vicar or parson.
