Item: St Levan Well, St Levan, Cornwall
Description: A photograph of the stones capping what was once St Levan's well. According to Ancient and Holy Wells of Cornwall by M. & L Quiller-Couch: "On elevated rocks on Porthchapel Point, this is the spot chosen by St Levan for the chapel/hermitage on the edge of the cliff joined to well by steps which have (since) disappeared". It is about 3ft square. St Levan was said to have survived on one fish daily plus water from this well.
