Item: The Ring and Thimble, Paul, Cornwall.
Description: The Ring and Thimble, Paul, situated on the grass verge on the right hand side of the road to Sheffield (The Grove) at the left hand turn to Paul (Grid Ref: 460278). The stone to the left is in the shape of a sugar loaf and the one to the right has a ring at the top and the motto 'In this hope I live' in the centre and the date May 31 1781, with an 'F' underneath the date.
