Item: Dingleys Hotel, Penzance.
Description: Dingley's Hotel (which became Beachfield House in 1871) and the old coastguard station in the background. The 'Rookery' is to the right of the Hotel and both stand on the corner of Alexandra Road which was built in 1865. The monument to Princess Alexandra in the foreground is now outside the 'Pirates' Rugby ground. See also 2016.50.79 and 1989.817 for similar images.
