Description: A photograph of the entrance to Gwithian Church from the lane outside. St Gothian's Church, Gwithian is a Grade II listed parish church in the Church of England Diocese of Truro in Gwithian, Cornwall (Source: Wikipedia). An extract from "The Cornwall Village" by the Cornwall Federation of Women's Institutes (CFWI) reports that 'St Gothian was an Irish missionary who was martyred in the area. The first church was a tiny wooden oratory. A stone chapel was built in the 14th century but got buried in sand'.
