Item: Madron Church Interior, Madron, Cornwall.
Description: A view of the interior of Madron Church from a side aisle. The patron saint of St Madron or Madern is said to have been a companion of St Piran who came to Cornwall in the 6th century, settling where the Baptistery and Well are above the village. an extract from the Madron Church booklet says that "the present church is probably the 3rd of even 4th on this site. It stands on a knob of rock, at a height of 120 metres above the sea, overlooking the whole of Mounts Bay". A further note about the history of the Church is attached.
