Item: Double-sided ancient Cross, St Michael's Mount
Description: Facing the sea, this cross stands adjacent to the Saxon (or earlier) religious settlement on top of the Mount, and the cross may have stood on the Mount before the building of the 12th century monastic buildings now above it. The cross is typical of its age, with the figure half way between a cross and a crucifixion. The reverse side has an identical cross with smaller round frame.
