Item: Mackerel boats returning to Penzance Harbour.
Description: A small fleet of mackerel boats passing the Albert Pier on their way into Penzance Harbour, before Newlyn Harbour was built (between 1885-94). The boat nearest to Albert Pier has its sail on the wrong side of the mast for the short tack into harbour and the boat at the rear is being rowed in.
