Item: Padstow Harbour.
Description: A view of Padstow Harbour showing from left to right: the Customs House and Customs Gig; Sail Loft; Ketch 'Ystwith'; steam tug 'Princess May'; Schooner rigged River Camel barge; the slipway and an unidentified schooner. The 'Ystwith' was registered in Padstow in 1891 and converted from a schooner to a ketch c. 1894. The steam tug 'Princess May' 71 PW replaced the old paddle tug 'Amazon' c. 1895. See also 2016.50.1206 of the same time, both of which pre-date the arrival of the railway in 1899.
