Item: Lizard Lighthouse, Polpere Cove, Cornwall
Description: A photograph of the LIzard Lighthouse on top of the cliff and the lifeboat house and slipway in the centre. Polpere Cove is just west of the Lizard Head. From 1859 to 1961 it was the site of the Lizard Lifeboat Station. The present lifeboat station is at Kilcobben Cove on the east side of the Lizard.
