Item: Cross in St Hilary Churchyard, Cornwall.
Description: A close-up photograph of the cross in St Hilary Churchyard, which is 3ft 3in high, 4in thick, with a head which is 1ft 7in wide outlined by a wide, flat bead. The front and back of the cross are alike. There is a Latin inscription across the surface which is flat and flush with the outer stone, the upper portion of which is in relief with a deep background. Two incised lines are on the shaft with a margin the same as that of the head. Source: Old Cornish Crosses by Arthur Langdon, 1896.
