Item: Boskenna Cross, near St Buryan, Cornwall
Description: A photograph of the Boskenna wayside cross near St Buryan. In 1869, the cross head was found in a nearby hedge and removed to this grass triangle. It was believed to have been hidden in the Reformation. It is a Latin cross: the other side has a figure of Christ in a tunic. In 1941, it was hit by an army lorry and removed to a nearby lay-by on Rectory Road, the B3315 to St Buryan, but in 1992 was hit by a car.
