Item: Market Jew Street, Penzance, towards Davy's Monument.
Description: A view from about half way up Market Jew Street. Going up the Street on the left, is William Jarvis' china shop at No 104; Next door at No 105 is Jennings Refreshment Room; Charles Luke has the butcher's shop at No 106; London Fancy Goods Company at 107; Prince of Wales Hotel at No 108; WH Nankervis is at 110; Bridger Bookseller and Davy wine merchant at 112; before the Post Office at 113 and The Castle Hotel at 114. Symons chemist at 1 Market Place has a sign for Pascoe (optician) and Martin (chemist). Going up the street on the right, is Cutcliffe's Cigar Divan and Fancy Emporium at No 14; Heard's Piano Shop at No 13; John Smith & Co, boot makers at No 12; George Williams, chemist at No 11 and Gibson & Sons, photographers at No 10. There are also two horse drawn carts towards the top of the street.
