Item: Girl in a Cornish Garden
Description: Half-length portrait of young girl in pink dress, standing in garden picking flowers. Alternative title is Girl at Porch, Chywoone Hill, Newlyn.
Condition: Fair - top right and bottom left mitres are splitting. Numerous chips to gilding, especially down left hand side. Large crack at top of left hand side, another approximately 2 cms lower on opposite side. Possible damage caused by dropping? Small paint loss at bottom, centre left of canvas. Small paint loss in centre of canvas which is old and has been varnished over.
