Description: Left to right lie storage for timber baulks for the North Pier; Cornish Canners pilchard canning factory; Grimsby Stores (1) which was a dance hall in the 1930s before becoming a net store; Mount Misery; Cosalt, formery Grimsby Stores which sold fishing gear and barked nets in cutch; Hill and Enderby's Light Engineering; viaduct and Keel Alley; ice works. Inshore mackerel boats known as toshers are moored in the water. This area is known as The Strand. It is built on reclaimed land.
