Item: The Trinity House vessel Reculver after being attacked on 9 January 1940
Description: The Trinity House vessel Reculver pictured here was attacked with bombing and machine gunfire by a German Dornier aircraft after servicing Cockle lightship near Great Yarmouth on 9 January 1941. One person was killed, 50 injured. The badly damaged ship returned to the Trinity House depot on South Quay at Great Yarmouth.
