Item: HMS Hood in Mounts Bay for the August 1904 Fleet review
Description: In Mounts Bay for the August 1904 Fleet review, this pre-Dreadnought battleship HMS Hood has her boat derrick raised for handling her boats. Her boat boom on the left has a boat moored to it. Another pre-Dreadnought type battleship is to the right. HMS Hood was a modified Royal Sovereign class battleship launched in 1891 and scuttled as a blockship at Portland on 4 November 1914. This is not the famous battle cruiser 'Mighty Hood' sunk by the Bismark in 1941.
