Description: One of a number of Trinity House tenders stationed at Penzance to service the lighthouses and navigation buoys around the coast of South West England, the Satellite, official number 148517, was built by Thornycroft's at Southampton in 1924. A twin screw steamer, her registered dimensions were, length 49 metres (160'); breadth 8.4 (27.5'); depth 4.5 (14.8'); (490) tons gross .
