Description: The East End Regatta was very much a working man's occasion which took place annually at the end of summer from the 1880s to the 1910s. Held in Penzance Harbour, it was limited to a couple of hours either side of high tide. In this blindfold solo rowing race the winner would have won 10s (50p) prize money.
