Item: Photograh of a print of St Mary's Chapel of Ease, Penzance, 1832
Description: This Chapel of Ease which gave Chapel Street its name was built in 1672 on the site of a Chapel of the same name in what was known as Lady Street. The site overlooked what was known as Holy Headland, the legendary site of St Anthony's Chapel. The Mother Church was at Madron. By about 1830 it had become little more than a shell and was in a very poor condition.
