Item: A formal parade to mark the coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, 1911
Description: 22 June 1911 saw this parade take place in the wind and rain, leaving St John’s Hall at 10 am and led by the Chief Constable on his horse, representatives from the coastguards, Royal Naval Reserve, Trinity Corporation, DoC Artillery, Council, Freemasons and Boy Scouts, marched to band music to a service at St Mary’s Church.
Condition: Fair - bottom left corner missing; other corners dog-eared.
