Item: Arthur Prowse, WW1 soldier
Description: This is a studio portrait of Arthur Prowse, probably taken before his departure for France. He was killed in an advance on Guillemont on 3 September 1916. He was buried at Arrow Head Copse, map reference 57C T25 C30.75. Alec Forbes was killed in the same attack trying to rescue fellow soldiers.
