Item: Cornish Fishwife in Market Jew Street
Description: This postcard shows a fish wife walking down Market Jew Street, Penzance carrying a basket strapped around her head underneath her hat. A fish jowster is in the background with the Market House and cabmen's rest to the back right. Note the sturdy gutter. The third storey on the post office gives a date after 1892.
