Description: Margaret Drew, aged 9, singing "Silent Night" on national radio. Margaret Drew was the daughter of Johnnie Drew, mechanic of the Penlee lifeboat and according to the photographer's notes on the back of the photograph, the song was for lighthouse and lightship keepers around the British Isles, and reception in Ireland was reported to be good. Others in photograph include John Treleven and Melvin Cobb (background); foreground (l-r) Gavin Pomeroy, Ronald Jenkin, Margaret Drew, (?), Johnnie Drew, Sidney Waters (identified from notes on back of photograph).
