Item: Field of broccoli in snow, circa 1956
Description: Snow is such a rarity in West Cornwall that Harry Penhaul found it worthwhile to photograph it. This photograph was taken in a broccoli field at Trythogga looking north west towards Trevaylor Woods. The mill leat in the centre of the picture was for water from the Trevaylor River to power Bazeley Mill at the bottom of Helnoweth Hill. The mill was demolished in the 1980s. Little Rosemorran is above centre left of the picture with allotments to the right and Rosemorran is on the right horizon.
