A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

Item: Members of the Mounts Bay Sailing Club (MBSC) preparing to sail

Description: Members of Mounts Bay sailing club are preparing their dinghies for an evening's club sailing off Marazion. Wind WSW and a flowing top spring tide; dark sailed dinghy by Chapel Rock (left) a Jollity dinghy; no Warspite wreckage. MBSC has hosted many national championships in recent years. Doble Jago says No 48 owned by Kenny Hicks (Osprey); No 86 owned by Melville Lawry (Jollity). "J" claps where Jollity boats - WFFA Fox (see photo 10) visited Marazion to see a demonstration.
