Item: Diving Operations in Newlyn Harbour
Description: Called 'The Diving Boat', this was the official harbour diving boat, normally moored on a nearby buoy. Originally a ship's lifeboat, it was acquired from Appledore in 1948. It was used for underwater inspection of the harbour walls, retrieving debris from berths and general duties.
