A space for all

Built in 1865, as the home of the Branwell family. Penlee House is home to many paintings by members of the Newlyn School. It is also home to the Penzance Natural History and Antiquarian Society collection.

Item: Wedding Party at the Marriage of Hubert John Chalcraft and Patricia Mary Chalcraft circa 1955 in St Ives

Description: A photograph of the bridal party outside of the church, thought to be in St Ives. From left to right: first two bridesmaids are unidentified but one of them is likely to be Helen Chalcraft, the wife of Michael Chalcraft; Mary Bromillow (nee Chalcraft), the Groom's sister; Michael Chalcraft, the Groom's brother; Hubert John Chalcraft, known as John, the Groom; Patricia Mary Chalcraft (nee Daviel), the Bride; Garfield Daniel, the Bride's father; and the maid of honour at the end, is probably Patsy, the life long friend of Mrs Chalcraft.
