Item: The Mayor of Penzance visits the Childrens' Ward at West Cornwall hospital at Christmas 1953
Description: It is Christmas 1953 and the Children's Ward receives Mayor Jack Stephens who is seated with Matron Thomas. Presumably the teddy bears held by the nurses are for the children. Sister Cynthia Brown is 3rd from the left; Sister Connie Patterson is holding a baby and Matron May Orchard is next to the gentleman with the teddy. Staff Nurse O'Reilly is 3rd from the left on the bottom row where June Nankervis is 2nd from the right
