Item: Digging out the No. 10 bus on the St Just road
Description: Snow is such a rarity in West Cornwall that Harry Penhaul found it worthwhile to photograph it. Here on North Road, the main route from St Just to Penzance, the No 10 bus is unable to cope with the road conditions. Local men take long handled shovels to dig a way through for the bus and for the Esso tanker.
