Item: Mary Callinack, The Cornish Fishwoman
Description: Mary Callinack (Kelynack), seated and leaning on her walking stick. Beneath the image is a description of the woman's remarkable achievement in hand written text; she walked from Land's End, Cornwall, to the Great Exhibition of 1851 in Hyde Park, London. Whilst in the city she also visited the Lord Mayor and was noticed by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Condition: Fair- considerable foxing on the outer edges of the image
