Item: Quay Street and St Mary's Church, Penzance
Description: One of the oldest streets in Penzance, Quay Street links the harbour with Chapel Street which was the main route for traffic using the harbour. The hotel on the left bears the shadow of a sail; there is a gas lamp post on its corner. St Mary's Church dominates the scene with the old harbour office below. The houses on the right of Quay Street were demolished in the 1950s to be replaced by offices and flats. The building on the right became the site of the Trinity House Depot but in 2012 is empty.
