Item: The White family at Landithe Farm, c.1940s
Description: Arnold White of Landithe Farm is driving a home made tractor with Syd Guy sitting behind the binder. His son Barrie White is sitting in the foreground. This remarkable tractor was built by Arnold White in the late 1930s from a cut down old lorry chassis to which he fitted a reduction gear box with low gears. Here they are cutting corn with the binder.+
