Item: Penzance Home Guard on inspection
Description: Penzance Home Guard have completed a drill and the men are standing for inspection. Their portable pumps for the canvas hose were conveyed on trailers. The filters standing on the tow bars were used when fresh water was not available. Their base was near the Battery Rocks. In 2012 the tall chimney remains but the zebra crossing is now almost opposite this chimney.
