Item: Flying the Flag!
Description: This is a photograph of a passenger steamer flying the red ensign and its house flag with three sails being furled; the flying bridge is forward; it has a partial whale back forecastle and five lifeboats a side. It has four masts and two funnels. The pilot boat would indicate that the boat is approaching a safe harbour at the end of a voyage. Left to right: red ensign; house flag; open furling sail; pilot boat; forward flying bridge; furling fore sail; catted anchor
