Description: SS Ormerod was a collier owned by J H Bennetts the local fuel merchant. Built in 1885, it was 52 metres (171' long weighing 474 tons and was the model for Stanhope Forbes's painting, "The Stone Boat" showing the Lighthouse boy sculling a boat off Newlyn Harbour with an old man is fishing. Owned by J.H. Bennett between 1891-1912 then sold to Norway
