Item: Village gossip, Newlyn
Description: A photograph of two women and a young boy talking on the doorstep of a house in Newlyn. The younger woman leans in the doorway smiling at the older woman, who stands below the steps, also with her hands clasped in front of her. Both wear aprons with the elder wearing a woollen shawl and bonnet and the younger wearing a brimmed hat. A young boy sits on the steps looking at the older woman. The lane in front of the house is cobbled and a bucket and grappling hook sit to the right. A rag mat hangs on the wall to the left.
Condition: Good - Discolouration to the bottom and right edges of the photograph. A small amount of foxing to the top and left edges. There is a small tear to the bottom edge.
