Item: Penzance
Description: A photograph of a view of Penzance looking from Ledcudjack. In the distance can be seen Mounts Bay and St Mary's Church Tower. The large building in the middle of the photograph was a warehouse on Leskinnick Place owned by the Railway Company. The Coastguard Buildings (built in 1884) are to the left. Cabbages are being grown in the field where the photographer stands. This was originally Glebe land that had been bought from the church by Captain Rogers of Penrose in 1881 and later developed for housing.
Condition: Good - slight discolouration to the top edge of the photograph. A medium amount of foxing to the top half.
