Item: Morrab Gardens, Penzance
Description: The bandstand in the gardens, donated by local coal merchant J H Bennett, was opened on 5 August 1905. The celebration included a grand concert by the Penzance Military Band. The pond on the right is not there in 2012. The gentleman in the frock coat and the bonneted lady suggest a scene straight out of Jane Austen.
