Item: Newlyn West. South Pier from Green Slip.
Description: View of Newlyn West from top of Green Slip with unidentified young man in a cloth cap leaning against the roadside railing and cottages running down the right hand side. On the pier in the mid-distance is a stone-loading shute and possibly a pile of fishing nets. A small steamer is just visible alongside the seaward end of the pier, near the lighthouse.
